Description: Fosfo 73 is a combination of antibiotics that work synergistically to combat a wide range of bacterial diseases in poultry. Their combined action enhances the overall effectiveness in treating both respiratory and gastrointestinal infections promoting optimal health, growth and productivity in poultry production.

Fosfomycin, a fosfonic acid derivative is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic that inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis by targeting enzyme Mur A. Its unique mechanism of action reduces the likelihood of bacterial resistance, making it particularly valuable in poultry farming. Fosfomycin is highly effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, such as Staphylococci, Streptococci, and certain strains of enterococci, Escherichia coli and Salmonella.

Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic known for its specific efficacy in combating Gram-positive bacteria and respiratory pathogens, most notably the Mycoplasma species, which are responsible for chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in poultry. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 50-S subunit of bacterial ribosome, thereby preventing bacterial growth and multiplication.

Indications: For the treatment and control of bacterial infections caused by G-positive and G-negative bacteria and Mycoplasma (which are sensitive to fosfomycin and Tylosin) like:

  • Mycoplasmosis (CRD, CCRD)

  • Air sacculitis

  • Colibacillosis

  • Fowl cholera

  • Fowl typhoid

  • Infectious coryza

  • Staphylococcal infections

Dosage & Administration: Mix 1 gm FOSFO-73 in 2-4 litres of clean drinking water and administer for 3-5 days OR as prescribed by poultry veterinarian.

Withdrawal Time: Poultry Meat: 7 days
