DESCRIPTION:
Enrofloxacin belongs to fluoroquinolones class and is approved for use in poultry & Livestock to treat a wide range of infections caused by G-positive and G-negative bacteria. It works by interacting with the bacterial DNA, specifically targeting the enzyme DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. It is used in treating respiratory and gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a derivative of the amino acid cysteine. It serves two main purposes:
Mucolytic Action: NAC breaks disulfide bonds in mucus glycoproteins, reducing mucus viscosity. This helps in clearance of thick, sticky secretions from the respiratory tract.
Antioxidant Support: NAC is a precursor to glutathione, a key intracellular antioxidant. It helps to reduce oxidative stress during infections or heat stress.
INDICATIONS:
Poultry: Enro 406 is a drug of choice for treating respiratory and GIT infections caused by bacteria like Mycoplasma, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella typhimurium. It is also indicated during and after viral infections of the respiratory system that lead to secondary bacterial complications, particularly when excessive mucus production is a sequela.
Cattle & Horse: Haemorrhagic Septicaemia, Pneumonia, Mastitis and Urethritis
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Poultry: Dilute 1 ml Enro 406 Oral Solution in 1-2 liters of clean drinking water for 3-5 days OR as advised by poultry veterinarian.
Cow, Sheep & Goat: 1 ml Enro 406 Oral Solution in 1-2 liters of clean drinking water Or 7.5 mg-12.5 mg per kg body weight.
Dog: 0.2-0.5 mg per kg body weight.
Cat: 0.5 mg per kg body weight.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Poultry: = 7 days
Precautions:
Always Store Below 30°C (avoid extreme temperature).
Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children.
After each use close bottle securely.
Wash hands thoroughly after use.
Always use on the prescription of veterinary doctor.
