Composition (per gm):

  • Oxytetracycline HCl: 300 mg

  • Neomycin sulphate: 150 mg

  • Florfenicol: 100 mg

  • (As Per Innovator’s Specification)

Description:

  • ETER NEO OFF is a combination of 3 highly effective antibiotics with broad antibacterial spectrum for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of poultry and livestock.

  • Oxytetracycline belongs to the group of tetracyclines, acts bacteriostatic against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus spp.), and inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 30-S ribosomal subunit.

  • Neomycin is an aminoglycoside with bactericidal action against mainly Gram-negative bacteria (like Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus spp.) and is used for the prevention and treatment of enteric infection in poultry and livestock.

  • Florfenicol is a thiamphenicol derivative with the same mechanism of action as chloramphenicol and is more effective than either chloramphenicol or thiamphenicol. It has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity that includes all organisms sensitive to chloramphenicol (gram-negative bacilli, gram-positive cocci, and other atypical bacteria such as Mycoplasma) and is effective against certain chloramphenicol-resistant strains of Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium.

Indications:

  • Poultry: For the treatment of respiratory and gastro-intestinal diseases caused by Oxytetracycline, Neomycin, and Florfenicol-sensitive organisms in poultry, such as Bacterial enteritis, Air sacculitis, Infectious coryza, Infectious synovitis, Mycoplasmosis complicated by E. coli (CRD, CCRD), and Salmonellosis.
