Composition:

Each 100gm Contains

  • Oxytetracycline Hcl ……………………25 gm

  • Neomycin sulphate……………………..25 gm

  • Colistin sulphate………………………..30 MIU (As Per Innovator’s Specification)

Description:

Oxytetracycline belongs to the group of tetracyclines and acts bacteriostatic against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. Oxytetracycline inhibit bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to 30-S ribosomal subunit.

Neomycin is an aminoglycoside with bactericidal action against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Staphylococcus spp. Neomycin is used for the prevention and treatment of enteric infection in poultry and livestock.

Colistin is an antibiotic from polymyxin group with bactericidal action mainly against Gram-negative bacteria. Colistin is used for the prevention and treatment of diseases caused by sensitive bacteria (Salmonella and E. coli) in poultry, rabbits, sheep/goat and cattle.

Indications

N-Colis 80 a combination of highly potent antibiotics. In poultry it is used for the treatment of diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to this combination like:

  • Salmonellosis

  • Colibacillosis

  • Fowl cholera

  • Omphalitis

  • GIT infection

  • Respiratory infection

Dosage and administration:

N-COLIS is administered through drinking water as 1 gram 2-4 litre depending upon the severity of infection OR as Prescribed by The Veterinarian.

Withdrawal:

  • Poultry: 5 days

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Always store at room temperature, (avoid extreme temperatures).

  • Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

  • Keep out of reach of children and animals.

  • After each use close container securely.

  • Wash hands throughly after use.
