COMPOSITION:
Each ml contains:
Oxolinic acid……………………0.1 gm (As per innovator’s specification)
DESCRIPTION:
Oxolinic acid is synthetic quinolone antibiotic. It is used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of bacterial infection in poultry and other livestock. Quinolones inhibits bacterial enzyme DNA gyrase (topoisomerases). Quinolones are usually bactericidal, susceptible organisms lose viability when exposed to optimal concentrations. Quinolones are quickly absorbed and attain therapeutic level within 2 hours of oral administration. When administered orally bioavailability is off 82% in healthy chickens.
INDICATIONS:
ETER VET LIQUID is used to control early chick mortality in poultry (omphalitis).
ETER VET LIQUID is used to control E.coli (collibacilosis) infections in poultry.
ETER VET LIQUID is used for the control and treatment of secondary bacterial infections (air sacculitis, peritonitis, pericarditis) after viral infection (infectious bronchitis and avian influenza).
ETER VET LIQUID recommended for the control and treatment of infectious coryza in poultry
ETER VET LIQUID is recommended for the control and treatment of salmonellosis in poultry.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
IN WATER: 20mg/kg b.w./day or 1 ml/2 Liter water for 5 days.
