MOTIL liquid
COMPOSITION:
Each ml contains:
Tilmicosin Phosphate ……….. 250mg
DESCRIPTION:
In poultry production, respiratory diseases are a major cause of morbidity and mortality. These infections are caused by a variety of factors including bacteria, viruses and fungi. Mycoplasmosis is the most contagious and economically significant bacterial disease affecting birds of all species and ages. Motil contains Tilmicosin, a semi-synthetic bacteriostatic macrolide antibiotic indicated for the treatment and control of respiratory infection associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale and Pasteurella multocida in poultry. It affects bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 50S ribosomal subunits. After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed and highest concentration is present in lungs, liver and kidneys. Tilmicosin has a long half-life and is excreted mainly via the bile into the faeces.
