Description:

Dietary supplementation of vitamin C decreases the detrimental effects of heat and cold stress. Vitamin C reduces plasma corticosterone and adrenocorticotropic hormone levels, helping birds stay calm and combat heat stress effectively. It enhances resistance to infections, helps regulate body temperature, reduces panting, and improves egg production, shell quality, and bird livability. Supplementation of ascorbic acid also enhances feed intake and improves performance parameters (weight gain, FCR) in broiler birds. Additionally, vitamin C supplementation improves ascites-related traits in poultry.
