Product Details

  • Florfenicol is a thiamphenicol derivative with the same mechanism of action as chloramphenicol (inhibition of protein synthesis).

  • However, Florfenicol is more active than either chloramphenicol or Thiamphenicol.

  • Florfenicol is more bactericidal against some pathogens.

  • Florfenicol has a broad spectrum antibacterial activity that includes organisms sensitive to chloramphenicol, Gram negative bacilli, Gram positive cocci and other atypical bacteria such as Mycoplasma.

  • Florfenicol is highly lipophilic, which provides high enough concentration to treat intracellular pathogens and cross some anatomic barriers.

  • Colistin Sulphate: Colistin Sulphate is indicated for the prevention and control of gastrointestinal diseases caused by gram negative bacteria, as in the case of Escherichia Coli and Salmonella.

INDICATIONS

  • ETER FLOR C is indicated for preventive and therapeutic treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections caused by Florfenicol sensitive micro organisms such as Actinobacillus, pasturella, salmonella and streptococcus in poultry.

  • ETER FLOR C is used most often to treat pneumonia in chickens.
