ETER THICLOR powder

  • Composition:

  • Each 100 gram contains:

  • Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate (10 gm) and Chlortetracycline Hydrochloride (30 gm).

  • Description:

  • Eter Thiclor is a synergistic blend of two potent antimicrobial drugs; Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic, broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic, and Chlortetracycline (CTC) is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic from the tetracycline group.

  • Indications:

  • It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of respiratory and GIT infections in poultry, such as Mycoplasmosis (CRD, CCRD), Salmonellosis, Pasteurellosis, and Colibacillosis.

  • Pharmacokinetics:

  • Tiamulin and CTC work by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis via the 50S and 30S ribosomal subunits, respectively, and both are well absorbed and widely distributed in the body, particularly in the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts.

  • Metabolism & Excretion:

  • Tiamulin is primarily metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine, while CTC undergoes minimal metabolism and is excreted largely unchanged in urine and feces.

  • Dosage and Administration:

  • Mix 1 gram of Eter Thiclor in 2-4 liters of clean drinking water and administer for 3-5 consecutive days, or as prescribed by a poultry veterinarian.

  • Withdrawal Period: Poultry Meat = 7 days.

  • Precautions:

  • Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture, keep out of reach of children, close the bottle securely after use, and wash hands thoroughly after use.
