ETER NEOMYCIN 100 powder
Composition
Each 100 gram contains Neomycin sulphate at 100gm.
It meets the specifications of the innovators.
Description
Neomycin is an aminoglycoside that has a bactericidal action mainly against Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus spp.
Aminoglycosides bind to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which results in the stagnation of the initiation phase during translation.
Due to this stagnation, elongation cannot occur and protein synthesis stops.
Oral administration of neomycin is a safe and convenient method for treating enteric infections caused by Gram-negative organisms.
Neomycin is not inactivated by food or enzymes, making it an efficacious antibiotic for preventing and treating enteric infections caused by bacteria sensitive to it.
