Composition

Each 1000 gm Contains:

• Chlortetracycline HCL: 80 gm

• Neomycin sulphate: 70 gm

• Colistin sulphate: 4 gm

• Bromhexine HCL: 5 gm (As per Innovator’s Specifications)

Description

ETER COLIS is a powerful and synergistic combination that combines the potent antibacterial properties of Chlortetracycline, Neomycin, Colistin, and the mucolytic agent Bromhexine. It provide a robust protection against a range of bacterial infections and respiratory issues ensuring optimal health, and overall productivity of poultry flocks.

Chlortetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic and acts bacteriostatic against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The spectrum of activity includes Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. Chlortetracycline inhibit bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to 30-S ribosomal subunit.

Neomycin is an aminoglycoside with bactericidal action mainly against Gram-negative bacteria like Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Staphylococcus spp. Neomycin is used for the prevention and treatment of enteric infection in poultry and livestock.

Colistin is an antibiotic from polymyxin group with bactericidal action mainly against Gram negative bacteria. Colistin is used for the prevention and treatment of diseases caused by sensitive bacteria (Salmonella and E. coli) in poultry, rabbits, sheep/goat and cattle.

Bromhexine is a potent mucolytic agent used in poultry production for improving respiratory function. It helps in reducing the viscosity of the mucous in the respiratory system and to alleviate the symptoms like coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge and tracheal rales.

INDICATIONS

In poultry ETER-COLIS is used for the treatment of diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to this combination like:

• Salmonellosis

• Colibacillosis

• Fowl cholera

• Omphalitis

• GIT infection

• Respiratory infection

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

ETER-COLIS is administered through drinking water. Dose may be adjusted depending upon the severity of infection as 1-2 gram per 1 litre OR as prescribed by the poultry veterinarian.

PRECAUTIONS:

Always store at room temperature, (avoid extreme temperature). Protect from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and animals. After each use close container securely. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
