DESCREPTION:

Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic from tetracycline class of antibiotics and inhibit bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. Doxycycline has high oral bioavailability, good tissue penetration and relatively good half-life. In poultry production, doxycycline is primarily administered orally and is effective against a wide range of bacterial pathogens commonly found in poultry, including Escherichia coli, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp., Chlamydia spp. and Mycoplasma spp.

INDICATIONS:

In poultry Doxy-Mix50 is indicated for the prevention and treatment of diseases such as chronic respiratory diseases (CRD), Infectious Coryza, Colibacillosis, Fowl cholera, Fowl typhoid, Infectious synovitis, Mycoplasmosis, Salmonellosis, Chlamydiasis and necrotic enteritis (caused by micro-organisms sensitive to doxycycline).

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

• Poultry: Oral route (via drinking water or mixed with feed)

  Dissolve One-gram Doxy-Mix50 in 5 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days (@20 mg/kg b.w.) or as prescribed by a poultry veterinarian.

PRECAUTIONS:

• Always store at room temperature, (avoid extreme temperatures).

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children and animals.

• After each use close container securely.

• Wash hands thoroughly after use.
