Description:
Le-Spectin 37.8 is a synergistic combination of 3 potent antibiotic and vitamin E. Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic, broad-spectrum beta lactam antibiotic. It inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall by blocking development of peptidoglycan. After oral administration, amoxicillin has a good absorption and distribution and is excreted mainly in unchanged form through kidneys. It is active against gram-positive bacteria (non-penicillinase producing Staphylococci, Streptococci, Corynebacteria, Clostridia, Actinomycess, Bacillus spp.) and gram-negative bacteria (Proteus, Pasteurella., Haemophilus, Actinobacillus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp.).
Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibiotic. In sensitive bacteria, it inhibits protein synthesis by binding to 50-S subunit of bacterial ribosomes. It has activity mainly against Mycoplasma, Treponema, Campylobacter spp., and gram-positive bacteria like Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium spp.
Spectinomycin is an aminocyclitol antibiotic having activity against Mycoplasma and G-negative bacteria like Escherichia coli, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp. It inhibits protein synthesis by targeting 30-S ribosomal sub unit of bacterial ribosomes. Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and is helpful in improving immune status of the birds.
Indications:
In poultry Le-Spectin 37.8 is indicated for the prevention and treatment of CRD, CCRD, infectious coryza, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis (caused by bacteria sensitive to these antibiotics).
Dosage & Administration:
1 gram per 2-4 liters of drinking water for 5-7 days OR as prescribed by poultry veterinarian.
Withdrawal Period:
Poultry Meat = 5 days
