ETER NEOMYCIN 100 powder

Composition

  • Each 100 gram contains Neomycin sulphate at 100gm.

  • It meets the specifications of the innovators.

Description

  • Neomycin is an aminoglycoside that has a bactericidal action mainly against Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus spp.

  • Aminoglycosides bind to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which results in the stagnation of the initiation phase during translation.

  • Due to this stagnation, elongation cannot occur and protein synthesis stops.

  • Oral administration of neomycin is a safe and convenient method for treating enteric infections caused by Gram-negative organisms.

  • Neomycin is not inactivated by food or enzymes, making it an efficacious antibiotic for preventing and treating enteric infections caused by bacteria sensitive to it.
