TRIBEN injection

COMPOSITION:

Each ml Contains:

• Sulfadiazine ……………………………. 400mg

• Trimethoprim ……………………………. 80mg (As per innovator’s specs.)

INDICATIONS:

Triben is bactericidal and acts by blocking two stages in the synthesis of folinic acid by bacteria. It acts against most of the Gram-positive and Gram-negative micro organisms and is specifically effective in infections of the respiratory, urogenital & alimentary tracts.

• In cattle: Actinobacilosis, Metritis, Mastitis, Navel ill, Joint Septicaemia (Pasteurellosis), Calf Diphtheria, Pneumonia.

• In Sheep and Goats: Pneumonia, Foot infection, Navel ill, Joint ill, Metritis and Enteritis.

• In Horses: Pneumonia, Strangles, Metritis.

DOSAGE:

Normally 1 to 1.5ml/30kg b/wt. daily.

AVERAGE DOSE PER DAY:

A single injection may be adequate in uncomplicated conditions, but in severe infections, injection should be used IM or IV for 5 days or until two days after symptoms have subsided.
